Driving to Work...
Nothing like getting to work early!
(man, this blog stuff is hard... I think about
something to write but I don't always do it and the next thing I know it's
tomorrow... and tomorrow... and
tomorrow!)
I have 8am classes which is
not usually good for me. I often stay up late working, reading, etc. and I don't
get up well in the morning. I do the two-step alarm tango. Hit the sleep or
ignore my watch the first time. By the time I get up I have to jump in the
shower and race to work just to make sure I get there in time to work in my
class at 8am.
Not
good!
This quarter I swore I'd try and
change it. I read somewhere that if someone really wants to change something in
their life, they need to do for at least three weeks. Anyone change do something
a couple of times. If you can get yourself to do for three weeks, then you have
a real shot at change.
So, I've been
making my self get up when the alarm goes off. I still don't eat breakfast but
I'm used to that. I just bring something with me. There is such a huge
difference in traffic between 7-7:15am and 7:30am. As long as I leave before
7:20 it's a cinch. No traffic backups and I get to work about 20 minutes early
which is nice.
We'll see if I can keep
this up!
